I just bought a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.9 liter V 8. The speedo and tach don't work so I'm not sure how many miles are on it. Last shown is 148K.
I just bought a 2000 Dodge Ram 1500 with the 5.9 liter V 8. The speedo
and tach don't work so I'm not sure how many miles are on it. Last shown is
148K. It runs rough when started but then smooths out (mostly) when
warmed up. It still feels shakey, hesitant and weak however like it's only
running on 7 cylinders. The plugs are all good and are a frosty white color
(too lean?), the wires, cap and rotor are new. It's showing codes P0500
Vehicle Speed Sensor Fault as well as P1740 TCM Internal Malfunction.
I've poured a can of Sea Foam in a fresh tank and have used up about half
the tank but so far no improvement. I'd really like to get this truck running
100%. Any advice???
Thanks,
Dave
