Question type: Maintenance & Repair

2010 Chevy Malibu, bought new. now has 52947 miles on it,  no mechanical or electric problems.
extended Dealer warranty about to expire, so i am considering buying an extended warranty but would like to know what type of problems are to be expected from this type and model automobile, over the next 3 to 5 years.
Do you have any data or information in that regard?

This low of mileage, some time warranty is a waste,if you know this car and have serviced it,make your own warranty with the money you have to pay them, you have a good chance if serviced right, that in five years you will still have your warranty money, this is my oppion but,the only issues known on this car is a bad igintion switch, which was a recall.
