Same issue
Same issues 2010 subaru forester 112,000 miles
on it and just put about $4000 in it for timing belt
head gasket new brakes tires ect. Now driving
home from family easter day after filling up with
gad and accelerating to get on a tight ramp to
interstate check engine light solid traction light
soild and cruise light blinking. Checked oil seemed
fine but engine had been running about 20 mins.
Dropped off at mechanic last night they said today
dipstick was dry so hoping just a oil change will fix
problem and yes I was overdue but only by about
500 miles which usually isn't a problem. I will make
sure to not let it go over again. Also when I bought
this car while he is my first subaru had an issue
with mice getting into it which to me is crazy
because I drive my car regularly and with dogs in it.
Apparently it's a common thing in subaru that the
air vents are too large so mice can get in. I had the
mechanic put mesh over it fixed problem but very
surprised subaru wouldn't fix that problem since I
know most people take the car camping and what
not. Thanks for all the advice on here. Just wanted
to share my story.
