scan for codes and get the definitions , this is where a multi tester comes in , and for less than the price of an alternator , batt. should have 12.5 V at rest and when you get it started you should have 14+ at the batt. if the alt. is doing it's job ,

My multitester cost more than a custom alternator. You can get a free one at Harbor Freight.

A car that does not die while driving but will not start when shut off unless jumped has either a poor connection at either end of a battery cable (4 ends total) or needs a battery. Start by making sure battery terminals are clean and tight. If free battery testing is available do that next. Usually the battery is the problem.

I have what might sound unrelated, a recall on the fuel flow control module. However, the description on the recall was very similar to this issue. Corrosion in the module causes starting and shutting down issues. I am having the same issue with my 2010 and will be having it looked at for this.

My 2010 just cut off on me going to the store. As soon as I turned in to store parking lot it cuts off.Wouldnt start at all.So I come back 2 hours later it started up!?! So I start back driving and about 2 miles it cut off again. And I tried to charging the battier didn't work (jump before that) checked the ECM1 and still won't start.Any thoughts
