2011 Chevy traverse jerking

Asked by GuruXFPC5 Nov 19, 2018 at 02:54 PM about the 2011 Chevrolet Traverse LS AWD

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My 2011chevy traverse is making a
jerking motion when I go up a hill.    It
is really bad when it’s teally cold
outside.   Today I drove 30 miles and
it was jerking bad and then the last
10 miles of that drive was fine and no
jerking up the hills.   The jerking gets
better if I give it gas as I go up the hill.
It did this off and o last winter but
over the summer it didn’t do it.   I
changed spark plugs and intake
gasket yesterday thinking that was
the problem but it’s not.    Ugh please
help.

I have. 2011 that jerks while driving and trying to accelerate even on the highway, broke down a few times on my changed all the spark plugs. Still does it also rpm jumps like crazy even if I’m only going 30 MPH. I financed the car a month ago, dealership is no help. Also is very loud while driving now first couple days was silent couldn’t even tell the car was on. I know nothing about cars but if anyone has any tips or any similarities pls lmk

this isn't going to help you but...my 2011 traverse 2LT at 130,000kms, started to sound like a diesel. At 85 km/hr on a stretch of nice hwy it suddenly died. I had changed the oil faithfully every 5000 km and followed every service bulletin in the book. The verdict was a seized oil pump that no longer lubricated the timing chain(s). Currently sitting in a repair shop waiting for a used/rebuilt engine. The best delivery estimate is mid to late February 2023 at around $5k CDN plus installation. Be careful the chev 3.6 motor is notoriously bad
