how do you change a fuel pump in a 96 aerostar

my buddy asked me to help him out by changing the fuel pump in his 96 aerostar van. I
am a chevy guy and we have replaced the fuel pump in my dads gmc but i was
wondering if we need to just take it somewhere or if we can get to ourselves. any help
you can give would be helpful

The procedure is basically the same, the tank has to be removed and pump changed. Simple

Find the place inside the van that will put you over the pump and cut a hole big enough to pull out change it and cover it with put carpet back IN done! :-)

Pulling the tank is awful! We had to also remove the driveshaft and all the sheet metal., Going through the floor is much, much, much easier.
