Equinox engine

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My engine ran down 3 quarts of oil without
my knowledge. When I noticed a very
different noise and drove it home . Which
was about 20 miles. My garage man added
3 quarts of oil, and it still kept making that
awful noise
So the real question is now that it has the
proper amount of oil, will the engine seize
up

You have very possibly damaged the engine. Use the dipstick, that's why it is there!
