When do I have to get an oil change?

Asked by Joan Jul 09, 2020 at 09:08 AM about the 2012 FIAT 500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I do not drive much and have put on less than
1,000 miles per year. Had oil changed Sept 2019. It
has 68,000, parked in concrete pkg structure on
beach in Atlantic City ( if that means anything)
When should I get oil changed?? Fiat 500

Minimum once a year. Twice is better. Odds are you only drive a mile or two per trip which means water vapor build up in the engine which is not a good thing. You should plan on driving several miles at least once a week to fully warm up your car.

I put a lot of city miles on my 500 C in addition to highway miles. I put full synthetic and changed it faithfully every 8000.

500
