Front Low Beam is out

Asked by Serenity Apr 21, 2016 at 01:24 PM about the 2012 Volkswagen CC

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My front low beam is out.  When I asked my mechanic how much to replace it, he said $80.  This seems a bit pricey to me.  Is it easy to replace the bulb if I do it myself?

Everything is easy when you know how, invest 15 minutes of your time learning how to replace the low beam...Online I venture to say there many YT videos then carry out the bulb change! 30 minutes $80 dollars. Just a suggestion.

the bulb changes are preaty simple and easy and often takes about more time to take the new bulb out of the packaging. here is a youtube link. You can pick up a light bulb for like 30$ at autozone or such. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=abyZYYqG_Fg

The dealer just quoted me $548! $267 for parts and $281 for labor, what a joke. Definitely doing myself.
