jetta AC has metal in it and loosening belts

Asked by gtuerdu Mar 12, 2020 at 10:30 AM about the 2012 Volkswagen Jetta

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Volkswagon service dept. evaluated 2012 Jetta. Said it had carbon build up in engine and metal pcs. in ac unit that's not working. Told us the metal in AC unit has affected the belts and they could fall off at any time. Seems unusual to me. Is this possible?
