Hemi ram engine problem

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Truck idles fine. Sometimes if I go to accelerate the
truck has no power, tons of white smoke, and what
sounds to be a lifter knock. Any ideas? Has 74k on
it.

If the white smoke has a sweet anti-freeze smell to it, then there is a bad head gasket.

It's an intermittent issue. Most of the time the truck runs great, and others the lifter knock will show up, no power, and a ton of smoke. Also, when I start the truck, there is a puff of smoke and it goes away.
