Sounds like we r having a similar problem. Found it was a fuse box problem relating to fuel pump(s) and pcm. B4 having starting issues we were finding that after turning truck off with key out, the fuel pump was still running. Its a recall for other years as per local service rep. The service rep also shared an estimate of $1800 to replace fuse box with a refurbished one.....I am currently looking into reporting my problem with mopar. I am worried that the temporary fix might cause another, bigger issue. Any suggestions will b well appreciated.
I have a 2011 Dodge Ram with the 5.7 hemi motor and my truck started giving me problems starting on the initial start so I just dealt with it for the next couple of months but it got progressively worse and then eventually wouldn’t start at all! It would crank but not fire! I tested the fuel pump and that was good! A family friend who is also a very experienced mechanic told me my truck had a TIPM(totally integrated power module) and that the fuel pump relay was defective but couldn’t be replaced and I’d have to have the dealership install a new one for a a price of at least $1000 or higher! There is a very good video on YouTube (link below) on how to bypass it! The setup costs $35 or so but as soon as I installed it the truck fired right up and I haven’t had a problem with it since which was over a year ago I hope this helps! https://youtu.be/HcV5oAF1hM0

Thank you so much George! Just ordered the test/bypass cable to verify that is the problem with my 2012 Ram 1500.nThen I'll upgrade to their more permanent solution of the patented circuit board replacement adapter. https://www.verticalvisions.com/products/tipm-plug-in-relay-systems.html
