So my daughter went to start her car and the
battery acted dead, it was just clicking. Later she
went back out to start it and it started. But the
hazards came on. She didnt touch them. Then i
went to drive it the hazards came on and the
wipers came on automatically lol, what the heck is
wrong with the car? Not sure on the "trim" info

Are the hazards and wipers part of the same multi function switch? If so that might be the problem. You can have any auto parts store check charging system (battery and alternator), but your problem might also be a parasitic drain, and if you have a bad multi function switch that could be the source of the drain.

Thank you for your reply. The hazards are on the panel under the radio, I turned those off but the wipers are on the handle with the turn signal.

When I start 2014 equinox the hazzard lights and front wipers come on. Can a dying battery cause this?

Did anyone ever get an answer on what the cause is? I have a 2012 Chevy Camaro and I put two brand new batteries in it. With the key out, the wipers go on and the spray, the alarm system goes off and then the battery drains. I know my car is on reserve but there’s only 40,000 miles on it. All diagnostics show everything is fine.

I never got an answer on my 2012 Camaro that I posted the question above about two months ago. We took it to the shop I got a second brand new battery and a full diagnostic. All the fuses were checked and everything including the alternator. were fine. It drained again within a couple days so we just unhooked the battery. Now the car just sits in the garage. If anyone else has had the same issues and has been given a solution to the problem please let me know.
Take a look at this bulletin, https://static.nhtsa.gov/odi/tsbs/2016/MC-10112291-9999.pdf
A few days after this the car wouldn't start at all. Replaced the battery and it has not happened since then and it's been about 4 months
2014 Chevy Equinox started doing this 2 days ago. Did anyone get any updates on this issue?
