DIY strut repair

Leaking struts should be considered permanently failed and replaced. Even a small fluid leak can stop the dampening of a failed unit and this can affect safety and wear on other components such as tires.

AccelAutoVT is correct. The strut has failed and is in need of replacement. Always wise to do both of them at the same time, either being the front or the back.

Agree with Rowefast, replace struts by the pair. Also an alignment will be required when the struts are replaced.
