Slight squeaking during idle

Asked by TS90 Jan 12, 2017 at 12:32 AM about the 2012 Mazda MAZDA2

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Slight squeak/chirp starting while idling. I
assume it's one of the belts...? Could it just
be pulley tension?

Also, I appreciate everyone's help on here.
I have been having trouble responding to
any comments. Thank you for your time
and help. -Tim

Squeaking can and does come from the serpentine belt, usually you have to replace any worn idler pulleys, and the belt tensioner along with a new belt.
