2013 hyundai sonata no power to rear combination lights

Asked by Joe Nov 11, 2023 at 05:26 PM about the 2013 Hyundai Sonata

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

After changing both rear combination lights to LED's one at a time, the left lamp worked fine. After installing the right lamp and testing it, neither lamp lit. Testing with a meter showed no power to either lamp. I can't find decent full schematics (full or broken down) to trace the problem. Any suggestions?

THIS EXTREMELY EMBARRASSING TO AN OLD MASTER TECH!!

As LED's have low resistance the BCM is not recognizing the circuit. I ran into this a few times and had to put in resistor blocks to make them work. Make sure you attach to metal to use a heat sink as they do get hot.
