My 2006 Jeep Liberty drivers side front door will not stay closed. Latch will not catch.

Unlocked car with remote, then went to close drivers side front door and it would not latch...all other doors are latched and will lock and unlock. Drivers side front will not close or latch or lock

Tom has the right answer, that's what i was thinking, when i read the question!! The lithium grease, that is in there, attracts alot of dirt and dust, especially on the spring and latch....
