SVC 4WD

Asked by Mmmairs16 Aug 31, 2017 at 09:34 AM about the 2014 Jeep Cherokee

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I had a hitch installed by Uhaul on my 2014 four
cylinder Jeep Cherokee and since I got it installed
the SVC 4WD light came on. It has been shifting
differently since but Uhaul has not been helpful. Any
ideas or suggestions? I'm supposed to drive from
Oklahoma to Pennsylvania today.

Did you already have a trailer electrical connector on back bumper? The u-haul store installed a hitch, its a metal frame brace with towing added, maybe they got into the wire harness but unless they installed a wire connector for trailer lights Then this is just for lighting, should not affect the trans at all. The check light is on and you should not be at u-haul to figure it out you should be at the Dealership or trans shop or a shop that also works on Jeep trans too, may just need maintenance or a sensor or have a electrical connector is loose.
