On the Jeep Grand Cherokee, model years 1999-2004 were about the same. The only thing to watch for, they used Okebono and Teves calipers. You may have either one. If something looks different, that's okay, but you will have to use the caliper anchor as well. If you find yourself switching from one to the other brand, be sure to do it on both sides so the next mechanic doesn't get confused buying parts some day. And considering the cost is not that much, I would just get new calipers ($50 each) as this part has a reputation for frequent failures (seize up). Rotors are half that price. Don't forget new pads. Just remember: JEEP= Just Empty Every Pocket. I know....I got one!

I have a 2004 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo and I was thinking on buying a 1999 jeep grand Cherokee Laredo, will the 2004 parts be ok to put on the 1999 one?

That generation of Jeep Grand Cherokee ran from 1999-2004 and not much changed. But again, when doing brakes, watch for Teves and Okebone calipers. If there is a mismatch between vehicles, you will also be swapping out the caliper anchors and pads. Other than that, you will have a matching parts vehicle that will save you money.
What about front drive shafts that has the u joint towards the front n goes into the transfer case?

That's a pretty tough question and I don't want to be wrong. A trick I often use is to look up the part numbers for both vehicles and see if they match. And remember to stay with the same manufacturer when comparing parts numbers. I like to use Rockauto.com for parts and information. Their website blows away all the competition. They're the best.
What years of Jeep Grand Cherokee are compatible for ecc to our in a 2004

Check/replace that steering damper that is attached to the center of the tie rod that connects left and right wheels. My Jeep never had the dreaded death wobble but I had a car that did that multiple times. Scared the hell out of me. Couldn't find the problem so I got rid of it.
I had that problem with my 1996 and I'm a girl so give me a break that bar that is shaped like a U that attaches to the frame needs to be replaced I have no more wobble I don't know what the name is but it's some kind of a bar,, no more wobble.
I have a 2004 Jeep Grand Cherokee Laredo have the death wobble had a little line three times telling me that my ball joints were bad I put a dual stabilizer bar are steering stabilizer replace all four ball joints and she drives like a dream now I do have oversized tires with a 3-inch lift and between all that put together obviously you're only asking for more pain than pleasure but it's really nice when she drives straight you can launch the thing and she lands perfect every time Bilstein shocks also help
