Can I use auto trac self-adjusting chains on 2014 legacy

I like the self tightening Auto Trac chains. But my
subaru manual says no chains. I asked a subaru
rep and he said as long as they're on the front tires,
it's ok. but I've seen 20 different answers,..can you
clarify?

Check to see what clearance rating these chains have. Subaru specifies the low clearance type 'S' cables if you must use them.
