95 Ford Explorer Starting issues

Alternator reads 14.6 amps, Battery is new, car starts, but fter turned off, will not start again, until positive cable is removed and put back on battery. Then car starts and runs fine. Repeats like this over and over again.

May be a problem with a keyless entry system if you have one. My 2003 entry system began acting goofy, fob would unlock then relock the doors with one push of the button vehicle would not start. Removed the cable from the battery then reconnected and the vehicle starts fine now. The keyless entry system no longer works. Cannot even get it into reprogram mode.
