What to do with driver power control seat?

Asked by Zonda_750 Feb 09, 2017 at 05:49 PM about the 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

This is the third time that our seat control on the driver's seat goes out. The
first time I was told that it was a bad control. The second time it was a fuse.
We are trying to find the fuse to see if we can check to see if it is the fuse
again. It has been two weeks ago when I last took it to the car dealer. This is
the third that it has gone out. But we did not know where to find the fuse to
check on it. I would like to have the seat changed to a manuel seat. Is this
possible and how much would it cost?

Read your owners manual. It will have a diagram of the fuse box.

The fuse for the power seat in a 2015 Dodge Grand Caravan is not in the fuse box. It is under the seat. It is a 30 amp fuse.

If you keep blowing the fuse it's probably because the coding is stripped off of some wires from rubbing on the bottom of the seat when you move it. For my van it was the wires on the back and forth control. If you wrap those wires in electrical tape and replace the fuse that should solve your problem.
