Oil pressure

I have a 2015 silverado when i accelarate the gas my oil
presure moves passed the 40 is that bad ? Is that
supoose to happen?

Only worry if the oil pressure doesn't go up when you accelerate then you need to check your oil level and take it to mechanic to have checked. Oil pressure and temp are the two most important gauges, make sure the needle never hits red on either gauge.
