Oil pressure

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

My oil pressure gauge just started fluctuating from  about
40 to 20.  What would  cause something like this?
Bad oil pump??
Since my last oil change was less than 3000 mi before, this
seems like a serious issue.

Those truck are know for defective oil pressure switches almost bet that’s the problem, if u plan I doing it your self make sure you get the screen below the sensor
