Radio won’t work, UConnect is saying I need a subscription for normal features of a car. 2015 Chrysler 300

Anyone experienced and know how to get normal
car features to work without having to subscribe to
UConnect?  For example, the radio won’t work
and the back up camera won’t work.  Monitor is
saying my UConnect needs an update.  So I set a
time for the update.  Then it said I needed to
register.  So I tried that.  That said I needed a
subscription to UConnect.  WTF?
