My 2016 terrain back lift gate will not open I push the buttons and hear the batteries running but will not open

This should be something the dealer should fix since it is a 2016.

I hope so I was hoping someone had a trick before I called dealer seeing it is a holiday weekend thank you

Check to see if there is a separate fuse and what is connected to it. If everything else works, does the manual button release it> You may have something caught between the lift and floor, preventing the power motor from lifting it. GMC has tricks to override it and get it opened. It also could be a mechanical failure of the motor.
