Why would Subaru sell a car with a too small
battery?

Car has died 5 times! Radio for a few minutes once and lights on for 3 min with key off. This is a brand new car! Don't buy Subaru! They have a bigger battery but don't put them in the cars!!! Dealer would not give loaner car said they rent for 30 dollars. Ridiculous

Actually it is a 2 year old car. You can upgrade your battery which may solve your problems. I did with my 2017 Forester and there have been no issues since then. I went with an Optima battery.
