2018 Dodge GCV windshield molding/seals

Asked by Mike Apr 27, 2021 at 06:24 PM about the 2018 Dodge Grand Caravan

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Had the cracked windshield replaced a few days ago, Safelite did the job, when completed, tech says there isn't a rubber outer seal? on the top of the windshield, both sides have the rubber strips. Looks odd to me, is this right? The Safelite tech says Dodge's have what's called a "floater" windshield. Am a bit perplexed on this.

Does it look different from before the repair? Compare your vehicle to pictures of others like it. Do they look the same? With the vehicle being only 3 years old I wouldn't think parts would be unavailable or changed in design. But you never know. Hope that helps! Jim
