Dash lights and gages

When I start my car the gages and light
and odometers come on for a few minutes
but shut off and stay off but randomly
flicker on and off as I drive not sure what
would cause this

it appears that you have malfunctioning gages. this is most probably a malfunctioning sensor at the transmission speed detection unit (SDU) take your automobile to your local shop and get a qualified technician to diagnose your malfunctioning SDU

That would make the lights on the gages and warning lights cut in and out along with eat and gas needle?

my 2008 grand marquis just started doing the same thing car works find except that the instrument panel is completely off gauges and lights
