2002 mitz spyder won't start

Had an episode today when I turned the key
nothing happened. No electricity at all. After
checking under the hood it started but lunged from
1st to 2nd and 2nd to 3rd. What may be
happening?

Check your battery connections. They must be clean and tight. Pay special attention to the negative battery cable where it attaches to the frame and motor. These cars do all sorts of weird things with a loose ground connection. These cars are known for ground connection issues. But normally just cleaning and tightening them fixes the issue. But in some cases like with my wife's the grounding(negative) cables had to be replaced.
