On my 2002 Maxima, I removed the resonator and stock muffler, added a turbo muffler with the stock exhaust size, car ran A little better, But just a warning on the injen cold air intake DONT DO IT! it is a waist of money! My car now hesitates off the line and has a small knock, I'm going back to stock intake. It created a lean condition that these cars do not adapt well to. there is timing adjustments on this car
Injen intakes for the 02 and 03 aren't the greatest setup for these cars. You will see gains but the filter is routed down and sits right behind the radiator, sucking in warm air. Most have come to the consensus that the Injen is junk. Some people make and adapt their own, boring a hole in the fender wall and routing down into the driver side wheel well. Some people prefer a short ram intake or pop charger. Options are limited because of the way the battery sits in the car.
