Anyone else feel their car lurch periodically at stop?

its a toyota platform probobly the throttle pedal problem that they cant own up to.
I just had that problem fixed. I believe it was something to do with the drive-shaft. Still having other problems. The car just dies and won't start. Had it towed twice now into Lexus. Key turns, power comes on (radio turns on, lights on, steering wheel adjusts). The ONLY thing that doesn't turn on is the car!!! Help!! Lexus is friggen clueless after a week and two trips in to see them. 2004 GX470 with 115,000 miles!

I had a '96 Avalon that did the same thing. I'd be sitting at a light and it would slightly lurch forward, just as if someone had barely tapped you from behind. Not a huge deal, but it was disconcerting at times. I know that on some cars, when the A/C compressor kicked on the computer would slightly adjust the acceleration so that the car wouldn't idle down under the extra load. I just always assumed that's what it was.
