Things to check for: little or no oil pressure, Knocking noise from lower end, excessive blow by, Major black or white smoke from exhaust, These are just a few.

ok do you think I blew an engine if .. My car been over heating a lot and my heat just up and stopped working .. The car drives fine and starts up.. I checked my radiator cap I didn't see any oil in it.. Just antifreeze good green clean antifreeze.. Just when I drive down the street from my house it's over heats
