Looking at buying a 03 Alero, 2.2, with 155k showing, the carfax looks good. However my wife drives 25 miles one way to work, and gets off at midnight. I am not familiar with this motor, is this something she could safely put another 100k on or not?

yea you can put another 100k on it, just know that with driving it that much you will be changing front hubs/wheel bearings fairly often. motors in these cars are pretty tough whether its the 2.2 or the 2.4 its just everything else that goes crazy on em lol

i drive a '96 alero and it drives good, the motor is pretty strong, everything should fine with your '03 feel free to ask me anything if needed
I own a 1999 Alero, its a great car, like Travy said, you can put another hundred thousand easy on it. its easy to maintain, and parts for it are pretty cheap, but just remember that i can help you with anything else on it, if you have a problem with it, you can ask me for help as well
i own a 2001 and i got it with 135k and it was falling apart now its just garbage do not buy itt
I bought a 1989 Cutlass Ciera. I loved the bench seats and the whole design. What happened? Well, when my father asked me why I bought one and I asked, Why not? He said, it will fall apart, piece by piece. And two years owning it, that's just what it did. It fell apart piece by piece and then finally I was pulling out of my driveway and the wheel cam right off the axle. Hard to believe, but that's just what happened.
