Question type: Maintenance & Repair
I brought a 06 Pontiac G6 this last July . By
September the car shut down completely & cant be
driven at all . I’ve had multiple people look at the
car one person said I had break fluid in my gas line
& that they needed to drain all the gas from my car
and put new gas in it “ I got that done , another
said a fuel rail “ which I brought & got installed “
another said a mass airflow sensor “ I also brought
& got installed “ now I’m being told it’s the throttle
body has any one else had these issues ?

First and foremost....is it getting fuel, compression and spark? Have you checked timing?
Bob I think they meant to ask if anyone has had that problem
Have you had any trouble codes show up? That is always a good start combined with "Ford"'s approach. Just replacing what people think is the problem just takes you down an endless road.
Yes i was being told by one shop that my mass airflow sensor was a code and I fixed it now I’m being told that the throttle body has to be fixed in order to complete an diagnosis on the car because it will t stay started .. and yes I didn’t mean to say Lyons
You need to get a real mechanic to look at it. Not sure how brake fluid would get into the fuel system unless there was vandalism involved. Is the check engine light on? If so, what are the codes?
