Question type: Maintenance & Repair

The trunk release will activate and the trunk will open on it's own, the vehicle is shut off, parked for the evening and the trunk will open after the vehicle sits.  It also activates sometimes when you close the passenger door, it will pop open.  It seems to be something electronic, the dealer has replaced the latch & by the time I got back home, an hour and a half from the dealership, first stop I made & shut the vehicle off, it popped open.  What can I do?

You may be having a problem with the BCM (body control module) thinking that it is receiving the signal to pop the trunk latch. Have them "flash" or reprogram the BCM to restore it to correct factory specifications and the problem should go away.
