antenna feeds through trunk

Asked by ricshannon May 27, 2014 at 01:25 PM about the 2006 Pontiac GTO Coupe

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

I would like to feed wires for ham radio antennae mount on the rear trunk deck through the
back seat and into the passenger compartment. I see holes on both the right and left
sides in the far side metal stiffeners but don't know where they go. I assume that they are
in the side wall of the passenger cabin but I don't see any access beyond that. Got any
ideas?

Sometimes it's faster to just snake under the carpet along the door sill. You can pull the kick panels and door sill trim pretty easily. My rule is, if I don't see wires already in the cavity I'm working in, it's probably not going to be the best route to go. (Or the manufacturer would have done it).
