Pontiac Grand Prix 05 high pitch hum sound at exceleration.

My Pontiac Grand Prix 05 has been making a high pitch hum sound at exceleration and when I make a hard turn.
Has anyone heard of this? Ive heard it could be power steering....?

Check the power steering fluid. It's possible the fluid is low, causing it to foam and causing the pump to cavitate, or suck air, as it tries to cycle the bubbled fluid.

Do you have the GT/supercharged se? If so get used to it as it is the supercharger.. Sounds like a tooth drill at low speeds. If Power steering rev engine to 2500-3000 and turn wheel lock to lock to bleed air out Of it. Then remove the remove cap with car off and you'll hear whoosh! That's be air escaping from the top of the system. Fill Er uP and she's good to go
