WHYY CANT I GET MY NEW KEY TO PROGRAM RIGHT,AN HOW DO I GO ABOUT GETTING IT TO TAKE PROGRAMMING

Hi CRIS, If you have the instructions to program your key and it isn't working I would head directly to your local dealership. They should be able to do this for you for a minimal charge if anything. Good luck!

If you are having problems with the factory anti theft feature built into the ignition and key , you will need to re-program it by .... 1- try to start vehicle , if it won't start , but , cranks , leave the key in the run position. 2-let vehicle sit for about 10 minutes with key in on/run position , or until the "theft " light goes off 3- turn key off , then try to start vehicle.....it should start with no problems . If you still have problems , there may be an issue with the ignition cylinder it may need replacement. The key will need to be re-programmed if the cylinder is replaced ( steps 1-3 )
