but i mean, yes.. you can put any motor in any car if you knew what you were doing and it will fit in the engine bay.

if you have the EJ22 engine it's not worth turboing, you won't get much "reliable" power out of it, your going to want to build yourself a EJ25 engine, trust me it will be much easier, I speak from experience, I tryed with the EJ22 and it just did not last so I have started on an EJ25.

agreed why would you want to put a shiity ass vtech motor that will barely pull 2,000 pounds?... oh its got bigger cams and what not... its made for a honda... leave it in a honda... anyways the ej25 class is a way better fit than a honda engine and you have alot more room to upgrade it... on my 06 were about to drop the ej257 with vf43 change the regular wrx wagon into a sti.... all i gotta say is when i took the old ej255 engine out with the td06 on it... it was waaay simpler than taking out my homies ka20 and replacing it with a RB

are u stupid or what why u put a honda in a subaru, not only its impossible because its a i4 and not a h4 the engine its not on the same axe.and subaru engine are more powerfull!!!!!

actually the honda B18 engine can run upto 500 bhp bottom end and is very tunable i have a B16A2 and i run scoobys off the road so if you dont know about vtec dont talk about it ;) also it is possible to create a vtec turbo which when done correctly can run upto 700bhp im pretty sure them figures are past subaru impreza figures...

Actually it's possible to hit 1200 whp with an STI 2.5L Subaru motor and run 7sec 1/4 miles on DOT approved street tires, no Honda motor will allow you to do that because they would not see that kind of power or allow you to keep the AWD.

why put a honda in a subaru get hold of the 3litre or 3.5 litre out of a b6r liberty or an out back, this motor is only 15 to 20 mm longerv than an ej20 andhas 190 kw na the bring on the turbos..

agreed that you probably could run scoobys off the road at 700bhp.... but can your vtech go offroad?... my scooby can... keeps up with quads lol

Uh. Anything is possible with time knowledge and money. It is possible to put a k20 into a subaru with good clearance issues. I don't see why it's such a bad thing to think about. Crv s are made to go offroad and I've seen the b20s in those built up to 700hp easy. You can do anything if you really want to. And the fast subaru in the world runs a 1/4 mile in 8 seconds and makes 900hp...... fyi.

And if you going for a weird fun easy swap you can swap a 12b or 13b rotary in easy no clearance issues and Subaru gears makes a bolt in adapter for all subaru transmissions to do so. The only difference between the stock ej22 and a 13b rotary is about 15lbs of torque less. They weight about the same and make about the same stock hp.
