I have 2001 toyato celica..the light on the dashboard indicates that the door is open,when it isn't..it's draining my battery as it won't start,but dash board light stays on

There must be a problem with the door switch the one that controls your car interior lights. Don't remember if your model had the switch in the door frame or in the door latch. Bur it's the first place I'd check, might be moisture or a lose wire or connection.

THE COURTESY SWITCH IS NEAR THE FRONT OF THE DOOR, IT SOMETIMES STICKS AND DOESN'T RELEASE. RELACE IT WITH A NEW ONE.
