Help my Toyota Camry is having transmittion problems?!
So my radiator was leaking so we got a new radiator and now were having tranny problems. The car wouldn't go so I added more tranny fluid cause it was low. It was fine that day till I left work the next night. It was dark and I thought I was low on tranny fluid still so I added a little more. It got me home and seemed okay. This morning it didn't wanna go but a foot or so and obviously I put to much tranny fluid in it so how to I drain some of it? and what else could be going on with it??
Sorry, but, I'm sure that had a lot of miles on your car? After all, it's 20 years old?. On the upside the mid 90s produced some of the best cars from Toyota and Honda. So, go ahead and have your original transmission rebuilt. It's your best and least expensive option. Why?. The money you're going to spend on this is only a little more than the amount of money you'd have to pay on sales tax for a new or late model car, depending upon the price of the car. If your engine and the rest of the exterior and interior is immaculate, I would definitely recommend fixing your car. Besides, you've already got a new radiator and I'm sure you wouldn't have done this, if you didn't intend to keep your car! And, no matter how much the transmission is, think of it this way, it's less than 60 months of car payments. Look at the great rating for mid 90s Camry cars, see picture.
