will it fit?

honestly, why would you wanna do that? 1, that takes waaaay too much time out of your life to do, 2, the cost of that would be outrageous, and 3, no. you cant expect to fit that without doing some chops to the fire wall or even messing with the notch towers
yes, it will fit. its the same body. it may not be the cheapest thing to do, you'll have to get all the supporting hardware such as tranny, k member, suspension...etc. BUT it can be done, and probably for cheaper than buyin a gt500.
1. to build the ultimate sleeper stang and 2. i can build motors but i hate having to fabricate and weld by my self.
stiffer springs, even if it's an aluminum block? the 605 hp cobra motor is just the inspiration behind it. it will be mostly after market gt500 parts.
I wouldn't bother swapping engines on such a new car, unless the original engine is somehow destroyed and not covered by warranty or insurance. No matter how nicely you do the conversion, you will never get any of the money back when you sell it. I would recommend selling the car whole and buying a faster car which is already the way you want it. Also, if you have to ask these questions then you probably don't have the skills to do it yourself. Since this engine is available as factory fitment in the same body shell, it shouldn't be hard to figure out.
it will fit in... you will need a set of GT500 motor mounts, find a GT500 K member that will clear the underside of the engine, get the complete driveline upgrades you will need including the tranny. You will also need the Computer, wiring harness, and all dressing for the motor... If you are looking to buy the GT500 605hp crate engine from ford racing ($18,150) i think your crazy... your gonna be another 5 grand in driveline mods... Find a totaled GT500 powertrain somewhere... And then get the upgrade kit. This is one from a shop i know locally http://www.themustangshop.ca/product/1479824/301024 it adds 100-110 hp and is about a grand. Thats basically all the ford racing 605hp is over the stock GT500... i know this swap can be done fairly easily but you also must remember that your gonna need much bigger brakes, a better cooling system (which if your not lucky could require some front end frame work...) better axles, and completley new suspension to handle the added power... if i were you and wanted a GT500 id buy one used...
to my knowlege it will fit. but theres alot more involved than just pulling the 4.0 and putting in the 5.4 modula. changing out the rear end. they do NOT make an automatic transmission for the gt500's. so you HAVE to cut through the firewall to put in a clutch and run the clutch cable. and have to have all the gt500 harnessing. in opinion, not worth it. Buy a used 2007 gt 500.
will a 4.0 engine fit in a 67 Mustang?
It will with some work... but why the four oh? The 3.7 is waaay better.
It's a 5.2 motor. It runs great and the motor in Mustang keeps jumping time. The 5.2 is free as it sits and runs really great. Just wanting input.
Will a new 5.4 v8 fit in a 2011 v 6 or gt mustang frame?
The 5.4 is wider than the 4.6 but they are basically the same engine. I
