changing engines

can i a 1994 350 chevy truck 4x4 engine and install into a 1998 chevy 4x4
truck with out any changes thanks

At the very least you will have smog compliance issues. Putting an older engine in a newer vehicle is not a good idea. The other way around should be fine however.

The only part you could use is the block. 1994 has the OBD1 computer and the 1998 has the OBDII. Even at that you would have to put a different cam in the block, 1998 is the Vortec engine which is a totally different set-up, so basically no you can't.

Heads and intake are different. You can use your old heads and intake on the older block, but they also have a wimpy cam. 96 and up is what you need.
