Specs for 1997 Chevy K2500

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

trying to find all the correct specs for my 1997 Chevy K2500 truck. it is the 454 engine. The VIN number is 1GCGK24JXVZ209594
Model K20903.  Gvwr 8600. Trying to do some front end work and having a devil of a time getting the right parts in for it and would like to find a manual etc.  I do not know how to figure out what trim it is. It is base cab, regular bed, 8 lug rims, 4 wheel drive.
Any help would be appreciated.
I had ordered a suspension kit from a parts store on ebay and they sent me one that would not fit and through a series of back and forth emails they were asking me questions I had never run into when ordering parts before. I even gave them my vin number and they still sent 2 more emails wanting more info.

The VIN number will not tell you what trim the truck is. But here's the GM page for decoding the VIN number. https://service.gm.com/dealerworld/vincards/pdf/vincard97.pdf Look in the glovebox for a manufacture lable or do a search on the internet for your VIN, maybe you might find some previous cached sales ad that will give you more information on the truck.
