I'd have somebody do a custom Dual Straight pipe system for you, I had that on my 98 with the same motor you have and it was very deep and rumbly, I also threw on a set of shorty headers later and it sounded very intimidating.
http://www.magnaflow.com/02product/shopexd.asp?zone=all&id=1349 Additionally, if you want just MagnaFlow's stainless steel piping, the two pipes are 15042 and 15043. Just search the part number (15750) on Amazon, eBay, Google Product Search, and/or other places and you should be able to find it for a pretty reasonable price. MagnaFlow's piping is 409 stainless steel and will not rust out. They're also mandrel bent and therefore less restrictive. Do not waste your money on the cheaper aluminized steel crap that most places and companies sell/use; it WILL eventually rust and you'll have to do this all over again. On the same topic, going without mufflers or with louder, cheap mufflers will literally cause you headaches with all of the drone they'll have inside your truck. I'd personally stay away from the popular favorite Flowmaster mufflers because they're more restrictive than the factory exhaust (they use tons of baffles to muffle rather than exhaust packing around a perforated tube) and are usually made of aluminized steel.
Mines not dual exhaust but my muffler gives a great sounds, I use a magnaflow glasspack and cat with summit shorty truck headers, and all stainless 3.5 pipe gives a good sound with low resistance and really helps out with gas milage too
lots off money but the best sound comes from a flowmaster super 44 exhaust. http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ViZoU9pmi0U
