96 chevy c1500 2wd

Question type: Maintenance & Repair

Replaced tranny for a 97 and the
ignition switch new out the box and my
truck will go into gear for a second but
then act like its in neutral and just rev
up... Any ideas??

Bad transmission, was it rebuilt or is it used, incorrect fluid level, check the fluid level with the vehicle running.

Used tranny. Came from a 97. I was told the front pump inside tranny was out. Can that be the case??
