Carburetor smoking

Question type: General

I have a Chevy 1500ck I changed my spark plugs
and wires already my carburetor is smoking an the
truck won't start I checked the starter and
alternator but both are fine

Assuming the wires were installed correctly (correct firing order), you may have a bad timing chain. Only way to tell for sure would be a compression test.
