hey guys, I have a 95 Chevrolet k1500 that won't
shift out of park any ideas?

yep the brake lights work, how do you know if the solenoid works and where do I find it?

hey guys, so i disconnected that rod you said, even changed the shifter mechanism, and the truck is being stubborn she still stuck in park anybody got some more ideas.

Where does the power come from for the shift lock solenoid

having the same issue! But i replaced the brake booster then after that my truck wont shift out of park also replaced the brake switch an it still want, we can shift it out by hand. any idea what it could be??

OK everyone this works for my 98 silverado everytime.. Start with the key in the off position, Then turn it once, now shift to N with your foot on the brake. now start the truck.. hope this was helpful
