95 2.8 liter skips when accelerating quickly, ok when done slowly. plugs, wires, fuel pump changed. timing advanced 1/4 turn counter clockwise 3 times no change.

This might be an easy fix.......! Try adding a bottle of fuel injector / carborator cleaner to a 1/2 tank of gas...... You might just have a semi clogged fuel line...... Let me know , ok?

ran two tanks of lukas,then seafoam,no change. changer rotor button, dist. cap and changed plug wires to autolite,two mechanics say bad plug wires, no change, what else will allow motor to rev up and down perfectly under no load on carport, on road under a pulling load will allow motor to skip so badley must back off acc. and shift to a higher gear to stop skip.help cannot figure this on out.what controls the spark advance on s-10 ? Is it not electronically controled?

finally found problem.clogged inline fuel filter. clogged with very fine black dirt restricting flow.thanks for your help you were close with a fuel answer. JAWSTECH.
